Adobe Flash to support 3D API

An Adobe engineer, who works in the Flash team, announced that its next version of the popular Flash will have 3D support. This was said in his blog post that the future flash will have a 3D API. Further details were not available and are expected to be officially announced by Adobe.

While people are busy figuring out ways to thrash Flash off the web, adobe has found better ways to ensure the reign of Flash in Rich Internet Applications. Flash is the market leader in RIA, but the survival of Flash was under doubt for quite a few months with the advent of HTML 5. Even YouTube, the largest video host, has replaced a good part of Flash videos with HTML5. HTML5 may be better for the web, but for 3D, there’s our favorite Flash. Adobe has cleverly used the tool of innovation for the survival of Flash. Cheers to the Flash team!.
