Google has released Android version 2.2 to Nexus One Smartphone. Codenamed “FROYO”, this version is available only for Nexus one at the moment. Google announced that the other smartphones using Android operating system will receive the new version soon.
Android V2.2 is a major release with lots of features and improvements. The open source OS has undergone speed upgrades, has a Wi-Fi hotspot and tethering functionality. In addition to these, it supports cloud to device integration. Above all, it has Flash 10.1 preinstalled (Apple banned the use of Flash in its devices recently). All these complement Android’s market share which has been gaining steadily.
