Good news for space geeks! Microsoft research and NASA has teamed up to give you a great chance to explore Mars. Together, they have brought out an application which offers high resolution maps of Mars with the help of Arizona University’s High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment.
The application, called as the World Wide Telescope offers the best images of Mars like never before. NASA has a team which takes the pictures of the planet and turns them into maps. And Microsoft turns these maps and images into a wonderful user experience with the help of its very own Silverlight. These are said to be the highest resolution maps ever constructed and are about a Gigapixel in resolution. Get the app at WorldWideTelescope’s website.
